# Lift Day > A free weightlifting and cardio log for coaches, personal trainers and their athletes. Programme the week, log sets from the weight room, sync cardio from a phone, and see who is actually training. Lift Day is free, run by one parent on a private server. There is no company, no advertising and no analytics. A coach sees their own team; an athlete sees only themselves. ## Pages Every page here is also markdown: add .md to its address, or ask for text/markdown at the address itself. - [Lift Day](https://liftday.org/index.md): the front page, and how people sign in - [What Lift Day is](https://liftday.org/about.md): what it does, for coaches, personal trainers and athletes, and how phone sync works - [Connecting an AI assistant](https://liftday.org/assistants.md): the steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok, each on a free account, and what an assistant may and may not do - [Privacy](https://liftday.org/privacy.md): what is stored, who can see it, and what is never collected - [Terms](https://liftday.org/terms.md): the terms of use - [Everything above, in one file](https://liftday.org/llms-full.txt) ## For developers - [OpenAPI description](https://liftday.org/api/openapi.yaml): the two endpoints a phone uses — exchanging a pairing code for a sync token, and posting workouts ## For an assistant acting for a signed-in person There is an MCP server at https://liftday.org/api/mcp — JSON-RPC over POST, no session. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok can sign in to it with OAuth 2.1: a request without credentials gets a 401 whose WWW-Authenticate header points at https://liftday.org/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/api/mcp, and the person approves the assistant on a consent page. Sign-in is limited to those four, by callback address. Anything else needs a key the person makes for themselves at https://liftday.org/settings/agent-access, sent as `Authorization: Bearer `. Either way it does only what the person ticked: logging their lifts, reading their own training, searching the exercise library, writing their team's programme if they coach one. There is no permission, for anyone, that reads another person's training. A coach's team findings arrive as conclusions this server computed, with athletes as opaque handles rather than names. Access cannot be requested on someone's behalf — if you are helping a person set this up, send them to that page, or to https://liftday.org/assistants for the steps. ## Not available to crawlers Everything else requires signing in, and holds athletes' training records — including, on school teams, those of minors. Logging, history, team reports, baselines and programming are all behind authentication by design. Please do not attempt to reach them.
